the stealth cloaking effect in flash

hey guys, just wondering if anyone on newgrounds have ever done the stealth effect, would like to be directed to an animation who uses this effect.

but anyway, I recently created the predator/cloaking effect which is very useful for all your Metal gear solid, predator, starcraft or anything that requires a cloaking animation.

the animation was done without any scripting or frame by frame animation, all done by tweening

Tweening isn't that hard. Frame-by-frame or scripting is much harder. And the cloaking stealth effect is just tweening from alpha 0 to alpha 100.

click on the links, not just seeing the image attatched.

its not something as simple as alpha 0 to alpha 100, its all about the distortion of the background with the character to get the effect of a stealth cloak

Is this all masking? I've done something similar to get a water ripple affect. I'd say the lag would kill it if it were put into a proper scale flash though. I had to rasterize the masked images in order to make my water not lag.

yes, its done using masking technic but the animation being the mask
